Franklin County Public Transportation Driver’s meet all federal, state and local requirements in order to maintain their driving privileges.

  • All FCPT Drivers have to test for and obtain a For Hire Driver’s License through the Bureau of Motor Vehicles.

  • All FCPT Drivers must take numerous classes and yearly video and hands-on trainings provided by Indiana RTAP (Rural Transit Assistance Program) in order to drive. Some of these include Wheelchair Assistance and Securement, ongoing Drug & Alcohol Training, Random Drug & Alcohol Testing, Emergency Evacuations and Defensive Driving.

  • All FCPT Drivers are certified in American Red Cross CPR and First Aid.

  • All FCPT vehicles are equipped with on-board cameras.
